Pilates for every body

​Pilates classes can range from gentle strength training and stretching to a challenging workout.
Before you start we'll give you the opportunity to tell us about any experience you already have, as well as any injuries or surgeries that might affect your movements. We regularly start new blocks of beginners classes or will happily find you a place within an ongoing course should you be more advanced. You may wish to take 1-2-1 lessons or even 1-2-2 with a partner or friend.
Whatever you're looking for (or even if you don't know what you're looking for) we can't wait to get you started.

Equipment

Both mat and equipment Pilates are beneficial towards improving your core strength, toning your muscles and increasing flexibility.
Mat classes provide the basis for the entire Pilates system so if you're a newbie it's definitely the place to start.
Using the equipment adds resistance but also support, which can allow you to maintain poses and work muscle groups that you wouldn't be able to normally, while mat classes offer the challenge of using only your bodies strength to complete each movement.
These differences mean that the styles are complimentary to, rather than a progression of, each other.
